COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Incident Command System (ICS) is the foundation on which a successful response to an emergency is built. Your Emergency Response Team (ERT) must use an Incident Command System as a tool for successfully managing all emergencies. Relying on our extensive experience in Industrial, Municipal and Military Incident Command, we have developed a comprehensive Industrial Emergency Incident Command System. This system will maximize the strengths of your ERT, particularly their response in the field
where it counts the most! Topics include:
- Components of Incident Command
- Incident Command Organization Charts
- Incident Command Position Descriptions
- Span of Control
- Giving & Receiving Orders
- Setting up a Command Post
- Dealing with the Press
- Radio & Telephone Communications
This course may also assist your ERT in complying with Cal-OSHA §5192 & Fed-OSHA 1910.120 - Hazardous Waste Operations - which require the use of an Incident Command System. Course length is approximately 2-3 hours.
