Earthquake Preparedness Training Classes

CLASS LENGTH: 3- 4 HOURS
CLASS SIZE: UP TO 20 STUDENTS PER CLASS
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
By its very nature an earthquake is unpredictable. Because of this unpredictability it is vital that your organization be prepared to respond. Students will learn why earthquakes occur and how to react during and immediately after an earthquake. Additional topics include:

Actions for Survival
Hazard Assessment & Abatement
Lessons learned from previous earthquakes
Large Earthquakes in the United States
Developing an Earthquake Kit
Basic Search & Rescue Techniques
Basic Triage

This course can be taught as a stand alone class or can be utilized and incorporated into other Emergency Response Team training programs to enhance response skills. The course length is approximately 2-3 hours.
